Financial Geniuses

Saw Robert Rubin acknowledging that "we all failed to see the linkages of all these problems that led to the financial crisis."  Funny, that - I saw them looming and sold my house in 2007.  Funny, again - I didn't hear the brilliant Rubin - or Larry Summers - offer to reimburse us for the wipeout of 401(k) and other retirement plans, nor for the money that our tax dollars paid out in TARP. Life's funny. (Rubin's net worth est. $1 Billion, Summers's - $500 Million - all made with funny money on Wall Street. What ... exactly ... did either of them produce?)

I wonder where that ethic of responsibility - and "earning" what you get went.
