It's really difficult to believe -

Alabama legislature and governor have just enacted a law requiring school districts to investigate each student in order to determine whether each child is lawfully in the U.S. The act also makes it illegal to GIVE A RIDE to any illegal alien ... give a ride - really.

Governors of three Southern states are organizing big Pray-Ins - one in each state - to ask God to help eliminate the evils of ObamaCare and other "socialist" attributes of our government. Could we reconsider that Southern States Secession issue? Let those people go!

    But tell me, what will you do about Wisconsin's Walker and NJ's Christie and all the other blithering idiots on the right politically and north of the Mason-Dixon line geographically?

    Demagogues pander in the language of their targets. Don't tar all southerners with the political tactics of dimwitted rightwingnut bigots. After all, the South has been fairly overrun by northern morons -- I mean emigres-- in recent decades.

    Karl Krause wrote: "The secret of the demagogue is to appear as dumb as his audience so that these people can believe themselves as smart as he is."

    In the US -- the whole country -- that is an ever increasingly difficult task.

    I agree with all you wrote in your comment, Abraxas. However, I did not tar all Southerners. I have lived in NC, FL, AL, MS, LA & TX - I do not despise the South. I pointed out that governors of 3 Southern states, and the legislature & governor of 1 have behaved appallingly - not the same as tarring the states.

    You are certainly correct re - and I share your attitude towards - NJ & WI.
